At Why at Work (StackPros B.V.), we consider it important that your personal data is handled with care. This privacy statement explains which data we collect from you and why we do this. You can also read here what you can do if you disagree with our practices. We have tried to keep this as simple as possible.
The most important thing to communicate is that we always handle your data confidentially. All information we collect is stored securely and only authorised people can access this data. If someone has no reason to access your data, they will absolutely have no access to it. To guarantee this confidentiality, we have implemented technical, security and organisational measures. In this way, we prevent the wrong people from doing the wrong things with your data.
Why at Work consists of a website (https://whyatwork.nl), a web portal accessible via a web browser, and a mobile application for iOS and Android. Each of these components collects personal data. It is therefore important to make a distinction between them in this privacy statement.
What data do we collect and why?
First, it is important to know that your data is never shared with persons or entities outside Why at Work and can always be deleted. Below, each component explains which personal data is collected and for what purpose.
Why at Work website
Through the Why at Work website, we collect personal data from prospects and visitors to the site. We do this in order to provide our services to you as effectively as possible. The following data may be stored about you:
- Company name: when you start using Why at Work, we can send invoices to the correct company.
- Address: so we can send invoices to the correct address.
- First and last name: knowing your name allows us to address you properly.
- Email address: so we can communicate with you by email.
- Phone number: if your phone number is known to us, we can contact you if necessary.
Why at Work portal
Through the Why at Work portal, we collect personal data from users of the application. We do this to give you access to our services. The following data is stored about you:
- Email address: we use this to give users access to the Why at Work application.
Why at Work app
Through the Why at Work app, we collect personal data from users of the application. We do this to give you access to our services. The following data is stored about you:
- Name: so we know how to address you within the application.
- Email address: your email address is used to log in to the app. We store this so you do not need to log in again each time.
- Presence: when you register your presence as a user of the app, this data is stored. This allows every app user to know who is present on which day.
How long do we retain your data?
We do not retain collected data longer than strictly necessary for the purpose for which the data was originally processed — namely to deliver our services as effectively as possible and to give you access to our services.
Fiscally relevant data, such as our accounts receivable and accounts payable administration, must be retained for 7 years under Dutch fiscal retention obligations.
Which cookies do we use and what for?
First, you can of course disable cookies. You do this via your browser settings. Please note that this may affect your experience of our website.
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you first visit the Why at Work website. The Why at Work website uses analytical cookies. These cookies give us insight into the information needs and interests of our website visitors. We use this information to optimise our website, using Google Analytics. All data in Google Analytics is anonymised as much as possible and cannot be traced back to individuals. Data is retained in Google Analytics for a maximum of 26 months. The Google Analytics cookies fall into the category with minimal impact on your privacy. We do not ask for your consent for these cookies.

You also have the right to request the personal data we have collected about you, or to submit a request to restrict the processing of your personal data.
